MODE: ANNOTATION
LAYERS: 3
Camera angle & distance. Is it a Close-up to show emotion, or a Wide Shot to show isolation?
Mood & atmosphere. Clean Pastels for the "perfect" start vs. Harsh Shadows for the crisis.

NARRATIVE ARC: COMPLETE
Lacie jogs through a pristine pastel-colored suburb, rating everyone she passes 5 stars via her contact lens interface.
Lacie practices her smile in the mirror, obsessed with her 4.2 rating, hoping to reach 4.5 to qualify for an exclusive discount.
Flight cancelled. Lacie loses her temper with the attendant. Security penalizes her outburst, dropping her rating to 3.1 instantly.
Hitchhiking in a dirty truck. Covered in mud, phone battery dead. The pastel façade is gone; reality is gritty and grey.
Crashing the wedding. Lacie, manic and filthy, gives a disastrous speech while being dragged out by security as guests watch in horror.
In a jail cell, stripped of technology. She screams insults at another prisoner, finally feeling free to be authentic without rating pressure.

"When I sketched the forced smile in Panel 3, the eyes didn’t move. That tiny mismatch felt wrong—and I realized we’re at a turning point where digital status is replacing human dignity."
Student Director, Grade 9
A single visual choice—like dead eyes vs. wide smile—can reveal the system’s dehumanizing logic more powerfully than words alone.
